It is the policy of Avant Garde to subject its security personnel for frequent training to maximize their effectiveness. We are capable of providing training to security personnel of other Institutions in basic security solutions to challenging and complex security problems. The Trainers & Instructors are highly experienced retired service Officers. The Course Director is a retired senior Officer with over 35 years’ experience in Sri Lanka Army and Private Security. He is assisted by competent staff who had previous experience in Armed Forces and Police. The company Training Centre is situated at No. 25 16/1 A, Maligawa Road, Ethul Kotte. The weapon training and firing is conducted at Home Guard Training Base at Kalpitiya and Commando Training Centre at Ganemulla.

Personnel recruited to our Company have to undergo a thorough in-service training irrespective of the training & experience they had in their services prior to joining. Instructions imparted are both theory and practical, comprehensively covering concept of private security and other security related situations. Regular refresher training classes are held where shortcomings in security duties are corrected. Trainees are briefed about the current security situation and law in relation to security duties which includes right of self-defense, citizen’s arrest and sections under the Penal code which are relevant to security duties. Particular attention is given to the important subject of discipline, Honesty, integrity and loyalty both during training and afterwards

They are trained in the use of safety & security equipment such as fire fighting, metal detectors and scanners. Fire & medical evacuation, first aid, bomb awareness & disposal are imparted to enhance their knowledge as a Security guard. Such training is handled by experts in the specialized fields with a sound military background.

Our trainers could be commissioned to assess the training requirements of Our clients and their security personnel, Supervisors and Managers. We shall then design appropriate courses to improve their efficiency.
